Is your mind running on rapid boil with copywriting questions? Here are some answers I prepared earlier. I hope these quench your thirst for knowledge, but please get in touch if you’d like to know more.
Who are you?
My name is Alicia Kacar. I’m a copywriter, tea enthusiast and tabby cat lover. I’m also the founder of Tea & Copy – and the woman behind all the words.
How can you help me?
What experience do you have?
I’ve been writing professionally for almost 20 years. I spent 15 of them working in-house for big brands and organisations, before taking Tea & Copy on the road in 2016.
What qualifications do you have?
What is your copywriting style?
My writing style is conversational. My priority is connecting with readers and writing copy that sounds like you – not like a stuck-up English teacher from the 1960’s.
What topics do you write about?
I can write about almost anything – from business coaching to organic cotton. However, I do have a few favourite topics. Here are my specialities:
How do you learn about my business?
You know your business better than anyone, but I get across it – fast. Together, we’ll go through a briefing process that will bring me up to speed on your customers, competitors, goals and offerings. I also conduct my own detailed research before I begin writing.
How do I know if I’ll like your work?
If you like the vibe on my website, chances are you’ll love my work. I have lots of happy customers and rave reviews. That many people can’t be wrong.
Do you offer free revisions?
I sure do. Over 90% of my clients fall in love at first draft, but I know it’s nice to have a buffer. That’s why I offer two free rounds of revisions for every copywriting project.
How long will it take to write my copy?
For small-medium website projects, I aim to provide a first draft within 10 business days from the agreed project start date. If any revisions are required, these are usually completed within 5 business days. Larger projects, like complex website and eBooks, tend to take a little longer.
How far in advance do I need to book?
I’m often booked for several weeks (and sometimes months) in advance. The sooner you can get in touch about your project, the better. I usually need a minimum of 3 weeks’ notice, but I’ll always do my best to accommodate your deadline.
What is your process?
Visit my How it Works pages for a full run-down of what to expect, from the moment you first get in touch until I deliver your final draft.
What payment methods do you accept?
My preferred payment method is direct bank transfer. I also accept credit card payments via Stripe or PayPal.
Do I need to pay a deposit?
Yes. A 50% deposit is required upfront to secure your writing time. The balance is payable within 7 days after your final invoice has been sent (with your first draft).
Can you edit my existing copy?
Yes, I sure can. If you’ve already written your copy, I can edit your work to ensure it flows effortlessly and is free from errors. If you’re on a tight budget, this can be a good option.
Where are you located?
I’m based in Melbourne, but I write for clients Australia-wide. As copywriting projects can be managed online and over the phone, location is no limit.
Can we meet?
A face-to-face meeting isn’t necessary for copywriting projects, however I’m happy to catch up for a virtual cuppa over the phone. In fact, I offer a free discovery call for shiny new clients.
Do you work with agencies?
You bet. I write white label copy for some of the best marketing and digital agencies across Australia. If you’re looking for an agency copywriter, I’d love to catch up for a virtual cuppa.
How do I get started?
Contact me with details of your project and I’ll get back to you with a ballpark quote.
